Online N-O-T Application


Read these guidelines FIRST. Then fill out the online application using the button below.

To receive funding and support for N-O-T, applicants must agree to comply with the following guidelines:

Facilitators

  • Facilitators must complete or have previously completed the American Lung Association’s N-O-T facilitator training prior to the start of N-O-T groups.
  • All facilitators must be non-tobacco users for at least 6 months.
Program Implementation
  • Participation in the N-O-T program must be voluntary and non-punitive (i.e., cannot be used in lieu of suspension, ticket, or fine for being caught smoking).
  • Facilitators will use the 10-session N-O-T program as it was designed without significant change or alteration (may not be shorter than 5 weeks in length).
  • The N-O-T program is conducted on school grounds during school hours, unless otherwise permitted by ALA.
  • Program participants must remain confidential.

Reporting

  • Participant evaluations completed during sessions 1 and 10 must be returned to ALA at the completion of the N-O-T group.
  • Participant attendance form must also be returned to ALA upon program completion.
  • Facilitators must submit 2 very brief online reports for the year:
    •  Implementation report due after session 2
    •  Final report due upon program completion.

What You Are Eligible to Receive

  • Facilitator training and curriculum (one-day training) at no cost.
  • Participant workbook.
  • Participant incentives, if available.
